Feature – Prerona Sinha

Prerona Sinha is a classically trained Bharatnatyam dancer who competed for the first time in the IFFM Independence Day Dance Competition at Federation Square on the 16th of August 2025.

To the right are images captured from her dance to ‘Aigiri Nandini’, a powerful devotional song dedicated to Goddess Durga celebrating her strength and benevolence through lyrics of praise that highlight virtues of protection.

The song is often performed during Navaratri, a festival honouring the divine feminine, and evokes a sense of empowerment and devotion among listeners.

The rhythmic and melodic structure adds to its impactful nature, making it a popular choice in spiritual gatherings and celebrations.
